GDPR Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026.

This GDPR Policy explains how TheTVApp handles personal data of visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

Who is responsible for your data

TheTVApp is operated by the website owner, who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time through our Contact page.

What personal data we process

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and visit time.
  • Contact data, such as your name, email address and message, when you write to us.
  • Cookie and advertising identifiers set by us or by third parties such as Google, as described in our Cookies Policy.

Why we process it and our legal bases

  • Consent: for non-essential cookies, personalised advertising and similar technologies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the website secure, prevent abuse, understand how it is used and improve it.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep or share information to comply with the law.

Advertising and cookies

We may show advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to show and measure ads. Where required, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choices in your browser, through our Cookies Policy, or by visiting Google Ads Settings and Your Online Choices.

Your rights under the GDPR

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • The right to have your data erased in certain cases.
  • The right to restrict how we use your data.
  • The right to receive your data in a portable format.
  • The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
  • The right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.

To use any of these rights, send a request through our Contact page. We aim to reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.

International transfers

Some service providers, including Google, may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers use, such as standard contractual clauses or other recognised transfer mechanisms.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as the law requires. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request.

Children

TheTVApp is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 without parental consent. If you think a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
